Dr Rose Penfold is a registrar in geriatric and general internal medicine, currently undertaking a PhD in Edinburgh. She has been working with the MWF for several years and is committed to understanding the ongoing challenges facing women and how we can improve the working lives of women in the medical profession. Prior to her work with MWF, Rose co-founded organisation Women Speakers in Healthcare, a voluntary, grassroots database organisation which aims to facilitate conference and speaking opportunities for women and ensure gender balance at all healthcare conferences and events.
