Celebration and New Beginning: A Hundred Years Past and into the Digital Future

Friday 3rd November 2017, From 9:00am-4:30pm at the UNISON Centre, 130 Euston St, Kings Cross, London, NW1 2AY. 

The day will centre around inspirational talks and panels including:

A panel on 'My Pathway to Medicine' featuring Dr Philippa Whitford, MP for Central Ayrshire, Royal Navy Consultant Kate Prior and Junior Doctor, author and journalist Dr Rachel Clarke.  

We will have talks from Dr Julie Wheelwright, author of 'Amazons and Military Maids' 

unisonand Kate Stephens, CEO of the charity Smart Works.

Plus a panel discussion on the digital future of the profession with Dr Clare Turnbull, Senior Researcher, Institute for Cancer Research, Dr Indra Joshi, Clinical Lead of Digital Experience & Urgent Care for NHS England and Dr Annemarie Cunningham, Associate Medical Director for NHS Wales Informatics Service.

We will also have a pledge board for you to share your thoughts and hopes for the next 100 years of the profession.

We are welcoming poster abstracts on the following categories:

  • Audit and Quality Improvement
  • Personal Experience
  • Innovation
  • Research
  • or anything relating to the conference title

There will be a conference dinner on Thursday 2nd November, venue tbc from 6:30pm. Please indicate on the registration form if you wish to attend. Further details will be released soon. 

MWF Council Meeting

A council meeting will take place on Thursday 2nd November at The Wellcome Collection, 183 Euston Road, London, NW1 2BE from 4pm-6pm. All members are welcome to attend as observers.
